![]() ![]() I find the smaller hotels and the ones "off" the strip treat you better and it is less costly. When I first went to Vegas, years ago, we always stayed at the big hotels on the strip but, I got to know the other hotels/casinos "off" the strip and I prefer to stay in them instead. It was very nice, comfortable and one of the Managers was so nice I would stay there just for the way I was treated, which was very well. I had stayed at many hotels before but not this one and I wanted to try it out. One of the nights I was there, I stayed at Boulder Station. The pool was a nice thing when we first got there and wanted to relax, not too crowded and nice atmosphere. The casino is a little "old" feeling, like maybe it could use a face lift in there or something and some definite ventilation from all the smoke, but overall we had a good time playing the slots and got a few drinks from the bar. My son and niece had a blast and even got to paint us some adorable pictures there. They also offer by-the-hour childcare and the kids area is fantastic. We had a huge family dinner at The Broiler inside the restaurant and had breakfast and dinner on other days at the buffet. The room they got to host the reunion was huge and beautiful! Staff was nice, one of the security guards even walked me up to my room and helped me get in when I lost my key so I didn't have to go all the way back to the lobby and sort it out there. The rooms were nice and we got a good price. First time in Las Vegas since turning 21, and it was for a family reunion. ![]()
